Can I get a sixpack of these and a Diet coke? To go.
In an attempt to ride on the coattails of
Edsel's Chipmonk in a Pot winning Bestblog campaign, my dad posted this picture. Magoo says it looks good enough to eat. Like he would know, the last time he caught a bird, he tried to kill it by sitting on it. Mom saw him sitting near the cedars and looking all sheepish. She went over and asked what he was doing. HE gave her the cat version of "Nothing. I'm not doing nothing" Mom quickly countered that that was a double negative. She made Magoo confess. He stood up and there was this little bird that was half scared to death. If it had been Bella, it would have been snacktime.

Hee hee. I tried to kill a frog last summer by sitting on it with my mighty bulk. But my mum rescued it and put it back in the pond, only slightly squashed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visitin' us! I (Smeagol) am always sneaking. Being all black helps, they can't see me in the shadows!
ReplyDeleteWe've got chippies too! But not right now...but wait till the snow is gone. We had one living under our steps last summer. Provided us hours of enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA!! We wish we were allowed outside.
ReplyDeleteI'm not allowed outside, but these little critters bombard the bird feeder just outside our bedroom window.
ReplyDeleteWhen there are a zillion birds and a couple of these little guys, it's sensory overload!!
I need a nap after just talking about it!
hmm, maybe the next picture could be of him on the grill......
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for my warm welcome to this big blogesphere..(And just so you know, mommy is writing this for me because my typing skills are not very good...and truthfully, hers surely aren't much better..but...she loves me a whole lot so I forgive her...)
ReplyDeleteI am an indoory person cause mommy says there are big bad animals wandering around up here that would just love to have me for supper! So, I'm happy to be inside looking out..!
Neat. I've never seen one of those before. It doesn't look like it would be more than a snack, tho...
ReplyDeleteHe does seem kinda tiny for a meal. Maybe you could just keep him as a pet.
ReplyDeleteWe just hate chipmunks. There are several families that live under our deck and they torment us by having free run of our yard. They come right up to the screen door, relax on our chairs and raid our bird feeders - and we can't get them. We told Mom we should be allowed out, but she won't listen.
ReplyDeleteWe had a whole family of mousies in our bar-b-que, but Dad didn't cook 'em for us. We gots chippies in summer and we even had a flying squirrel in the birdhouse. Mom says woodpeckers made holes in our house where sparrows live now. And they all taste just like chicken.
ReplyDeleteohhhhh we don't have those things here. We don't have squirrels in Australia either. We have strange birds called "cockatoos" and "galahs" and lots of possums, but none of them things. They look fun! Can you send me one?
ReplyDeleteLook at that fluffy tale!! He looks like a fun toy. Wish we had those. We have a bunny outside who hops by our window in the very early morning.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at Dolce because she looks so much like Fergus. Does she have very very soft fur? She helps me think I will find another I will love as much as I love him. I have started reading your book too, which I like very much.
ReplyDeleteI gots those. And all kinda birdies and bunnies and deer and foxes! And one big fat squirrel. I like to watch them so much.
ReplyDeleteWe tagged you! Come to our bloggie for the meme.
