Dad needs to apologize...

Dad says he is sorry for scaring all of my furriends. He was not thinking when he used that caption for the entry about me going to Grandma's. Sure the idea is to grab people's attention and make them want to read your blog, but all he did was scare everybody who knows I am sick.

I have decided to live at Grandma's. Not because I don't love my dad, but because I need to have someone around all the time. My dad is travelling with work and I don't see him as much as I need to. Besides, Grandma really loves me. I also have a new playmate who needs me more than Dolce, Bella and Magoo. Cloe is very shy and used to hide all the time. She has been showing me all her special spots around the house where she likes to look out the windows and sleep on the couch. I will have to get Dad to come and take a picture of her. She looks surprisingly a lot like Bella, but she has a tortie face and a big white spot on the end of her tail. Mom says it looks like she had her tail dipped in paint.

PS. Dad is working on the next chapter of Scooter McTabby. He says that it is a lot harder to write something funny and exciting than it is to write something sad.

  1. All that matters is that you're happy, and you're where you need to be. The title of yesterday's post might have been a touch unfortunate, but right under it said "To Grandma's" so that momentary OHNO we felt when we saw it was just a blip.

I hope you still get to blog, even though youre at Grandma's. You can tell us all about Chloe!

  3. Smudge, old buddy, good to hear that you are doing well and are happy being at Grandma's and have a new friend to share things with. We understand about you deciding to stay there, as does you Dad. I'm sure that he misses you a lot but you two will still get to see each other when he comes to visit. Which I hope is soon, I'd definitely like to see an image of Cloe. Is she as cute as your sisters?

  6. We should have realized that your Dad is suffering now, using that title was his way of trying to get used to the idea that one day you might actually be gone, not that we want that to happen anytime soon. We were just shocked, I can not speak for everyone else, but I for one should have thought about your Dad's feelings. I am just glad to hear that you are feeling better, I am certain that your Daddy does miss you so very much.

  7. Smudge: Please tell your dad that he doesn't have to try to grab our attention to get us to read. You all are part of our family and we come here HOPING for something to read and some adorable pictures (like the one today). We really care about you and we're happy that you and Cloe and Grandma are all doing so well together. We want you to live a long and happy life. We're sending lots of purrs and cuddles to your dad and your mom, because we know they're missing you very much.

  12. Well, that title scared me, too. Glad you had those two little words, "to grandma's" right underneath.

Seems like he told you his decision, didn't it. Maybe we can see some pictures of Smudge and Cloe.

I agree with Grr, Midnight & Cocoa, you've already got my attention, that's why I visit everyday.

  13. I usually catch up on the blogs via an RSS feeder, rather than the actual websites. Initially I just see the titles of the entries, and then have to click on the title to get the rest of the message.

I almost burst into tears when all I saw was the title of the last entry. I obviously immediately opened up the entry and breathed an enormous sigh of relief when I saw the words "To Grandma's".

So glad to hear that Smudge is doing well at Grandma's. Please do keep us posted on Smudge. (I know you will :)
