Another Furriend called Home

Norton (b.1988 - d.2006)

Another friend has left us. Although it was not unexpected or sudden, the loss is felt as strongly as though it was.

The Dance - (Garth Brooks)

Looking back on the memory of
the dance we shared, beneath the stars above.
For a moment all the world was right,
how was I to know that you'd ever say goodbye?
And now I'm glad I didn't know
the way it all would end, the way it all would go.
Our lives are better left to chance,
I could have missed the pain,
but I'd have had to miss the dance.
Holding you, I held everything,
for a moment, wasn't I the king?
If I'd only known how the king would fall
who's to say, you know I might have changed it all.
And now I'm glad I didn't know
the way it all would end, the way it all would go.
Our lives are better left to chance,
I could have missed the pain,
but I'd have had to miss the dance.

  1. Thank you for the wonderful tribute.
I almost chose that song for Norton's Rainbow Bridge home page. I would not have missed this 18 year dance with him for all the world. - Meezers Mom Mary
