First day of spring, Bah!

The first day of spring was supposably three days ago. Well you wouldn't be able to tell that from all the snow in my yard. I asked my dad to let me out several times, and each time all I saw was that stinking snow. Now I'm a pretty big boy, but I even found the snow to be too much. It came up to my belly fur. That's just too much darn snow for a cat to handle, even one as furry as me.

Well since it's crappy outside, at least my dad is home with me. His project is over and he gets to spend some time at home. I guess he didn't take enough vacation last last year so now he has to use it up. I don't care why he's home; I'm just glad he's here. He has a whole lot of cuddles and pets to make up for all the time he was gone.

This is a note to the little turd called Dolce. Going under the blankets and getting cuddles is my thing. You need to find your own thing. This is mine. When I wanted to go under the covers a couple of nights back, I was absolutely disgusted to find Dolce all stretched out and purring in my spot under the blankets. I thought it was a figament of my imagination, but when I checked several times later she was still there. I'm starting to think that I didn't sit on her enough as a kitten.

A note from Magoo's Dad: Edsel mistakenly thought the picture above was from this spring. it is actually one from last summer. It was part of wishful thinking on Magoo's behalf.

  2. Don't you just hate it when some other cat comes and takes your spot. Like they didn't know it was "your" spot.

  3. Our mom says the spring is springier up where Patches Lady is than Connect-a-Dot and now this? We wants to go up north where it is green! Oh we see, that's from last year. Maybe our mom will let us go out in the yard this year.

  4. Our grass is nice and green outside. It is green all year except in late summer when it goes all brown and parched looking. I would be outside right now chewing a blade of grass except that it has been raining cats and dogs all weekend in London. I hate rain! But my mum says it is good because London has a water shortage so we need some rain, we are getting a hosepipe ban on April 3rd and summer hasn't even started yet!!

  5. We don't have snow, but it's winter cold out there. Weird thing is when they were calling it winter it was nice and warm. Now that people are saying spring it's COLD. Someone's VERY confused!

  8. What I'd do for spot stealing: I'd pretend to give Dolce a bunch of kisses to her head, get her all trusting and then give her a nip on the neck. Works with Olivia all the time!

  10. My Dad is complaining because he says the yard looks like cr*p. Especially the part where the sewer thing was dug up last fall. (this is when he isn't complaining about taxes)

At least it's gettin warmer and I see more birds. Mom was kickin off her blankets las night, so I went under cover to make sure she didn't get too cold wifout them.
